| Talk of Christ by Wordy Wisdom |
Words are powerful messengers. They lift. They bring low. They heal. They wound. The things that come from our mouths bring daylight or darkness. It's not just what we say, but also how we say it. Words that constitute a prayer can also be a curse.
It's important that my children hear me speak of Christ with the love and reverence that I feel for Him. It's important that they hear me speak of him often. There are so many things to say in a day. I greet, teach, direct, counsel, joke, and share. In all that I must make room for Christ. Sometimes I forget. I'm so full of the good and bad of my life that I forget to share my love for the Lord. At least I include Him in our home through prayer and scripture study, but could I do more? Could I speak of Him more? Could I turn our hearts to him more quickly when we run into trouble?
To help remind me I printed this scripture and put it on my dresser. I pass it many times a day. I love how it reiterates in my mind why I talk, rejoice, preach, prophecy and write of Christ. It's so that my children will know where to look for a remission of their sins. They will know where to look for help and hope.
