Creating a Christ centered home involves small and simple things. Like so much that takes place in the home these small things are repetitive. They happen over and over and over again. Talking of Christ can't be a one time, memorable event. It has to be every day. Feasting on the words of Christ, kneeling in prayer, serving each other are all ongoing practices that transform an ordinary home into a holy place.
Over the next few days I'll be sharing some of the small and simple things we do in our home to center it on Christ. Most of these things we have done for years, but some of them could use a little refining. I'll share some of the things that have worked for us. You might not do it the way we do, but the principle remains the same, that consistent employment of small and simple practices in our home will center it on Christ. And that will bless not only our own family, but the world. "One of the greatest blessings we can offer to the world is the power of a Christ-centered home (Richard G. Scott)." Power that begins with small and simple things.
