It's General Conference weekend! I love this weekend when I can snuggle up with my family and listen to Special Witnesses of Christ. I come away uplifted and strengthened. I love my Savior and my family more. I believe in living prophets. When I follow their counsel I am always happier, more at peace and closer to Christ.
I keep conference weekend simple. I don't put together packets and activities for my kids to do. I just invite them to be with us, to listen and to learn. I think they like conference too. I know I did, even as a child. It wasn't that I loved listening to hours of talks. It's that I loved the feeling in our home. I loved being with my family. When I left home for college and mission, conference weekend was the time I felt most homesick. I knew my family would be together, united in our faith. I missed being there with them.
